leavin' on a jet plane . . .

Off to Italy tonight with big brother David for a
couple of weeks of food, wine, culture, hiking
—and fun! Won't have a computer with me, but
I'm clairvoyant so I've scheduled the posts
(and let's just hope that works) and you
can see what we're up to if you like.

  2. This photo depicts the romance of flying to far away, exotic places. Makes me wish I were going on vaca somewhere.

    Enjoy your time in Italy.

  3. "...don't know when I'll be back again...."

Yes, leaving on a jet plane conjures up so many possibilities of magical adventures. I'm sure you'll stumble upon your own Lost Horizons and never want to return. Enjoy your travels. We'll be still be here and will leave the light on, too. The colors in this photo are exquisite btw.

Cali...I'm with you on the vaca wish. I've a gig manana but that really is a different kind of trip. ;-)

  4. Coltrane: hope your gig goes well. Have you added Blue Lou to the set list yet? :-)

We are going to turn Alexa's blog into a chat room, while the cat's away . . .

  5. Cali...I'll talk to the other "cats" about adding Blue Lou because I dig it too. We're adding some more Coltrane, Ellington, Louis, and Paul Desmond (alto sax, Brubeck) at present. Have a good one.

  6. Coltrane: Ellington's version of his "I'm Beginning to See the Light" is pretty hot. Is that on the list also? Here I am making requests and I'm not even an audience member! I've found some interesting stuff on Youtube featuring music from the 30s in English and French.
