St. Patrick's Cathedral

My favorite moment in this cathedral was the wedding
of an actress (friend of a friend), who sailed down the
aisle proudly 8 months pregnant.  The child (a girl)
was born on time a month later, and named Margo
Channing (after Bette Davis' character in All About Eve).

  1. Sweet, and reminiscent of this.

We'll have to ask Shell if Gothic arches count as PTDDs.

A wedding in St. Pat's of someone with a pronounced baby bump. I wonder what the guests in the pews were asked to do.

  2. Every May 1st here (search 'wedding' on my blog) the City of Belgrade sponsors a mass wedding of around 300 couples. Some brides were obviously pregnant!

  3. That is very sweet and another uncanny resemblance to an Eric photo. Those candleholders are beautiful. Hmm, I wonder if the Gothic arches are PTDD voids, since they are, in a sense, outlines of empty space? I might have to sleep on it.

  4. The 60's, Bette Davis, Woodstock, spending time each year in Paris.

Someone has found perfect harmony !!

And I haven't even said what a lovely photo of St Pats !

Thanks for coming Down Under, Alexa.
You are always most welcome in Adelaide.

  5. TG -- you are indeed le roi de la memoire! Seriously, how DO you do that? And thanks for another great link (one of my all-time dead-fave movie scenes).

bibi -- I can't imagine so many brides at once. Must a good solution for shy brides who want as wedding but don't really want to be the center of attention.

Shell -- there are surely some PTDD's to be found here!

    M. Benaut -- Merci beaucoup! I will be visiting Adelaide virtually for sure—and for real one of these days, I hope, as well.

  6. I attended one of those weddings when I was in college. It was great because we were so happy for her and her husband.

  7. Seriously, how do I do that? I thought I already answered that: Tuesday!

  8. I've slept on it and indeed, those arches count as PTDDs, as will the bishop's hat.

Alexa, please tell me Adelaide won't be your only Australian destination when the time comes ;)

  9. If your business is doing well in this competitive market, congratulations! You must be doing something right. The question is, is business as good as it could be? A good way to test that theory is to bring in some outside business counsel to scan the landscape and see if there is more you could do to expand and grow even more.
