dunes

. . . out in Montauk, where I went to
hear the Lone Sharks play yesterday
at Nick's on the Beach.  And what did
you do this weekend?

  1. A reminder that I'm well overdune for a visit to the beach, which is a fitting place for Lone Sharks to hang out.

    Not a long weekend here and already Monday's nearly over. It's footy season, so that accounted for Saturday afternoon. Other than that, a lot of drawing, of tea and by me!

    {TG, I need your help with something, if you don't mind ... could you email me via my profile? Thank you, kind sir.}

  2. I like this shot, for the dunes, the beach up ahead, and the road that seems to lead to nowhere, though we know it's the beach! I'd love to stroll here.

    My weekend? Yesterday I too followed a path to a beach, but a Danube one.

  4. I like the way the soft sunlight looks filtered through the fading remnants of the day or slipping past tattered sky-blown clouds.

    My weekend? All my days are weekends. This one had a music lesson arise; another episode of a two-DVD set of “Route 66” watched; a few bottles of 250-Year-Anniversary Guinness Stout drunk; how to play the fives sections of the piece “Nesting Cranes” considered. But most refreshing was a vicarious walk along the shore at Montauk

  5. Shell -- I'm so aware that you are on the opposite side of the world—and yet here, every day. Amazing!

    Bibi -- and the beach was beautiful!

    Bee-Bee -- Yo, Cuz, you have your gorgeous lake.
    (Look, we have Bibi and Bee-Bee!)

    TG -- Wish I could make that same statement! Thanks for providing the link (Long Island is full of Native American place names). Your weekend sure was replete with interesting things to do! And btw, I never ever missed an episode of Route 66 back in the day.
