Shadow Shot Sunday

Caught these folks lining up to buy their
train tickets at Grand Central
Terminal. I've stood on so-called
lines in lots of countries and I must
say (call me chauvinistic) that we may have
our faults but Americans at
least know how to queue up politely!

  1. Great shot, and yes I would have to agree that Americans are very good at standing in line.

I was amazed at how polite and patient everyone was at Disneyland when we visited a few years ago.

  2. I’m impressed with all the empty space between people. But then no one would rightly want to step on one of your shadows. Was this taken like at 5:30 in the morning? I’m used to buying tickets at stations under these circumstances. (Or so it seemed at the time).

  3. Lovely shot with those shadows! You're right on about Americans' being able to line up. Look sat that space in between them....many places you can feel hot breath on your neck.

  4. And look at how they respect the personal space of those in front and back of them!

  5. If you've been to Australia I'd love to know how you rate us. Our waiting lines can get a little hairy and confusing at times! Some people are clueless. And some just plain rude!

Your comment about not liking to get your hands dirty with regards to clay made me laugh. I feel the same way! Have a great week :)

  6. An absolutely fantastic shot. I love the shadows and I'm intrigued by how nicely they are lined up.

In Sweden we can be good at standing in lines, most of the time.

  7. nNothing to add about this photo.
Another very original one and nothing (good) to say about the way French behave in line !!!

  9. Lovely shadow shot! I must say, people in New York seem to be better at queuing up than those in Washington, DC. You'll seldom see such good manners around here.

  10. You are right. We (generally) keep in a nice line!! I try to be patient and not get into anyone elses space. Good Shadow Shot.
