Shadow Shot Sunday

And this is the arcade of the beautiful Palais Royal,
in Paris—where you'll find arches and gates—and
shadows neatly lined up (just how I like them).

  1. Another dreamy shot Alexa!
& I love the stone walkway.

  2. I love it. There is that kind of aerial perspective where the shadows fade out and disappear in the distance as they approach the vanishing point. It took a few moments to figure out the hanging lamp shadows. (At first, from a sideways angle, I thought it was a front view of a rider on the horse from yesterday).

The image holds centuries of history yet the location remains a vibrant living part of the most sophisticated international capital of today’s world. Allow me to be redundant: I love it.

  3. So beautiful, and to think I once took it for granted. I walked this way every evening after work....there used to be a very prim and well-dressed old lady who would approach people and ask them for a franc....

I love these shadows and columns.

  4. I couldn't help myself looking for Audrey Hepburn's shadow, hiding behind one column ! Great perspective and thank you for reminding me how lucky I am to live so close.
Sometimes you just forget to see the beauty in your usual environment.
Have a nice Sunday and glad to see you back, TG !
