who goes there?

Seen like this, I think there's something
a little
sketchy or film noir-ish about this
stretch of city sidewalk.  In fact, it's just the
block before mine, with scaffolding
and a well-placed work light.

[Linking back to The Weekend in Black and White
and to Shadow Shot Sunday.]

  1. Definitely noir-ish. Looks a bit like the opening of a mine-shaft adit.

A title could be: “Snow Melting on Steel Bars.”

The glow is something like out of “Kiss Me Deadly.”

Wait! I hear footsteps running behind me! Well, what do you know. It’s Cloris Leachman.

  3. Oh, I love those shadows, and the man could be walking through a well-lit tunnel. Surely there's a story here.
