a rose is a rose is . . .

Right now, in the Cranford Rose Garden
(in the Brooklyn Botanic and one of the
largest collections in North America), there
are more than 1,000 kinds of roses
—both old and modern—in bloom. Some of the
original roses planted in 1927 are still there today!

  1. There really is something gorgeous about the way a rose unfolds.

  2. Beautiful photo! I love to meander through my city's rose garden. Almost as beautiful as the roses themselves are their names---Cherry Parfait, Misty Twilight, Fragrant Cloud, Garden Party.
