inSPIREd Sunday

Adam and Eve getting their marching orders:
This window is in the church of
Saint-Pierre, in Bordeaux.  The church was
built in the 14th and 15th centuries
and is one of those on the Way of St. James
in France, on the route to Santiago de Compostela.

  1. I just wonder if there's any evidence anywhere of women making these stained-glass windows. I read somewhere that there was a theory put out that the Lascaux cave drawings had been done by women... Of course, not all stained-glass would have been made by women, but just wonder if there were any female artists of this type. I love stained-glass.

  2. In Bordeaux but on the way to northwest Spain (?). Oh.

I think I’ll watch the Estevez/Sheen The Way before long.

The stained glass windows are indeed beautiful. I like all kinds of stained glass, or in this case, how it got that way.
