Weekend Reflections

Autumn in Paris: These wouldn't be
here long—in my experience, concierges
and shopkeepers both are very
fastidious about keeping the sidewalks clean.

  1. Like it could almost be a seasonally-decorated display case. But of course it is: displaying your autumn leaves in an elegant, but lived-in, Parisian weekend reflection. It’s really nice. The leaves look so perfect as they are. It reminds me of the tea-master who rakes all the leaves from the gravel walkway leading to the teahouse. Then shakes the tree gently to allow a few leaves to fall, like yours, in perfect decoration.

  2. Lovely, and yes, I once had an overly-fastidious concierge. I'm pretty neat, but she had a way of glaring at my shoes....
