inSPIREd Sunday


This church was undergoing restoration when
 I visited Rome back in May.  It's 
Santa Maria dell'Orazione e Morte (Prayer and Death) . . .


which may explain this symbolism that
appears in multiple
 places on the façade.

  1. The exterior so bathed in sunlight; and the blue sky and greenery. The jarring contrast between life and death is not unlike that found here.

    I was thinking that a visit to the church might not be the most romantic first date. But then it depends on the couple.

  2. Very nice, the headstop is very unusual, normally see them on memorials
